What’s that hammering noise? It’s the sound of more
than 1,200 kids and their parents piecing together and decorating
their very own toy sailboats courtesy of The Home Depot!
For the first time, Home Depot is bringing their popular Kids Workshop
to the Kids Expo. Designed for children ages 5-12, these workshops
teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the
same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally,
this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults
and children.
Throughout the weekend, more than 1,200 little handymen and women
along with their parents will learn how to build their own sailboats.
The Home Depot professionals will guide them through their projects
using pre-fabricated kits that are both educational and practical.
In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives
a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates'
aprons, and an achievement pin. Sessions are being held all day
on Saturday and Sunday. Just stop by The Home Depot Zone to pick
up your sailboat kit and start building!
